Climate & Best time to visit Maheshwar
Although Maheshwar can be visited throughout the year, however it may be suggested to avoid the months of July and August as unpredictive downpours can be a deterrent and hamper sight seeing.
But this also the time when the river Narmada is in it’s full glory and the landscape is bustling green, a view worth it.
Summers are hot and humid and the mercury can go upto 45°C. However, the mornings and evenings are pleasant.
Pretty long time can be spend at the ghats (bank of the river Narmada).
October to March is the best time to visit Maheshwar.
It can be quiet cold in the night with a minimum temperature of 5°C. However, this is the period to pend the entire day exploring Maheshwar. Winters also attract a lot of migratory birds and can be viewed closely while availing a boat ride.
End of February witnesses Mahashivratri, a prominent Hindu festival which is celebrated with great pomp and show and is surely not to be missed.
