Day 1 | Arrive Jabalpur | Bandhavgarh National Park

Meet and greet with our representative at Jabalpur airport / railway station .

Board our vehicle & proceed for Bandhavgarh National Park ( 200 kms | 4 hrs drive ).

Arrive Bandhavgarh National Park & the day at leisure.

Overnight Bandhavgarh National Park.

Day 2 | Bandhavgarh National Park

Bandhavgarh is a place of mythological and legendary significance. The ancient Bandhavgarh Fort is of great importance as it is believed to have been gifted by Lord Rama to his younger brother Lakshmana. ‘Bandhav’ in English means brother and ‘Garh’ means fort. Hence the name, Bandhavgarh. Bandhavgarh dates back to 2000 years ago and you will find several man made caves with inscriptions and rock paintings.

Bandhavgarh is also the land of tigers. This is the place to visit if you want to spot the big cat. India’s top dwelling for tigers, Bandhavgarh National Park has the highest density of Royal Bengal tigers in the world. The sight of the majestic tiger, up close and personal, is said to trigger a sense of awe in you, of the kinds you would have only experienced in your childhood.

Day 3 | Kanha National Park

After a refreshing early breakfast, board our vehicle & proceed for Kanha National Park ( 250 kms | 5 hrs drive ).

On the way, we take you to Ghughwa Fossil National Park.

Ghughua Fossil Park is a National Park, located near Shahpura in Madhya Pradesh, India, in which plant fossils belonging to 31 genera of 18 families have been identified.

The site was founded during the 1970s by Dr. Dharmendra Prasad, a statistical officer of the Mandla district and honorary secretary of the district archaeology unit. It was declared a National Park in 1983.Numerous plant, leaf, fruit, seed, and shell fossils can be found in this park, some of which dates as far back as 65 million years,the most prominent of which are the palm fossils.

Later, proceed for Kanha National Park.

Day 4 | Kanha National Park

Enjoy your morning & afternoon excursion at Kanha National Park. We pick & drop you from your resort after the excursion.

Kanha National Park is the largest national park of Madhya Pradesh & a feast for the eyes for wildlife enthusiasts.

An epitome of conservation,successful rehabilitation of the Hard ground Swamp Deer ( Barasingha ) speaks about the dedication & efforts of the forest dept as well as the local population.

It is also the first tiger reserve in India to officially introduce a mascot, “Bhoorsingh the Barasingha”.

Day 5 | Adieu “Madhya Pradesh”

Post breakfast, c/out & proceed for Jabalpur ( 180 kms | 4 hrs drive ).

We take a little de road and take you to Bargi.

Bargi is the backwaters of the huge “Bargi Dam” & offers incredible view of the water body. It is an epicenter of various water sports organized by MP Tourism. Have refreshments at “Maikal Resort” by MP Tourism.

Bargi Dam is one of the first completed dams out of the chain of 30 major dams to be constructed on Narmada River in Madhya Pradesh. The Narmada is the largest river in Madhya Pradesh, flowing towards the west and falling in the Arabian Sea. A lake of about 75 km in length and spreading over 268 km². In Jabalpur, Mandla and Seoni districts is formed when the water is impounded up to the dam.

Later, proceed for Bheraghat (Marble Rocks ).

Visit the magnificient “Dhuadhar Waterfalls”. Avail the cable car ride ( by self ). The cable car offers fine glimpses of the falls as well as the river.

Visit the Chausat Yogini temples & be awed by it’s composite composition.

Avail the famed boat ride on the holy “Narmada”. Enjoy the thrilling boat ride ( by self ). The boat ride is an once in a lifetime experience where you sail amidst the white pristine marble rocks. The marble rocks of Bhedaghat are undoubtedly one of the most famous sites to visit for almost every traveler. These marble rocks are naturally formed and a boat ride amidst these rocks makes for a surreal experience. And what’s more, you just might chance upon fossils if you look closely enough.

Later, we proceed Gwarighat. Hire a boat ( by self ) & visit the Gurudwara across the river. Lose Yourself In The Gwarighat Gurudwara. It is said that Guru Nanak who is the founder of Sikhism had made several stops here to deliver sermons. The Gwarighat has since then earned the status of an extremely important site for the Sikhs and had a Gurudwara ( a Sikh temple) built to mark his visit.

Do not forget to witness the mesmerizing “Narmada Aarti” at “Gwarighat” , the bank of the Holy Narmada.

Later, we drop you at Jabalpur hotel/railway station/airport feeling contented about a memorable holiday spend at “Madhya Pradesh : The Heart of Incredible India”.
